Vero is a New York City-based Venezuelan writer, activist, and political strategist. She has led national policy and movement building work on the intersections of immigrants' rights, health care access, young parenthood, police accountability, and LGBTQ liberation. She holds a Masters’ degree in Public Health from Columbia University.

Verónica is also a writer, music journalist, and a cultural critic who centers the socio-political context of culture in her work. Her writing has been featured in outlets such as Rolling Stone, Crack Magazine, Frieze Magazine, and Remezcla.

For nine years, she co-hosted Latin music podcast Radio Menea with Miriam Zoila Pérez, and she is a co-author of Muévelo: The Enduring Legacy of Latin Music Across Borders.
